Focus on the tangible—real policies and programs that generate real results. Don’t provide a deep dive on your company’s history. Crisply tell us why innovation matters to your company, how you go about fostering it, and what measurable results these efforts have yielded. We’re looking to celebrate sustained, deep, genuine commitment to building and maintaining an innovative culture, so the stronger case you can make for ongoing efforts along these lines, the better your application.
Be specific: Point to any internal programs you’ve implemented to encourage innovation. These could be re-skilling or rewards programs, R&D efforts, skunk works, hackathons, etc.
Demonstrate impact: Provide metrics—user numbers, revenue growth, customer satisfaction rates, employee retention, products launched, patent applications—that illustrate the positive impact and real results your internal efforts have generated.
